Somerset, KY - William Davis Brush (Bill) passed away April 4, 2026 after a brief illness. He is preceded in death by his wife, Opal Sue Brush (Grant), his son, Dirk Brush, and his mother, Helen Brush. He is survived by his son, Gary (Kari) Brush, his grandchildren Erin Brush, Elizabeth (Fitsum) Seyoum, Josephine Brush, and Ryan Brush. He is also survived by his brother, Donald Brush in addition to many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Bill was born in Clay County, KY on Sept 9, 1942 to Helen and Charles Brush. He graduated from Kiser High School and spent his career working at DP&L. Bill was involved with hockey in the Dayton area, often coaching Gary's youth hockey teams. He spent his retirement living in Somerset, KY, serving as the captain of the "Opal Sue" pontoon boat for countless excursions with family and friends. There will be a Celebration of Life to be held at Lake Cumberland at a date to be determined. There will also be a celebration of Bill's dedication to Dayton hockey on July 17th from 6-9pm at the Irish Club 6555 Dog Leg Road Dayton, OH 45414.
