Gerald "Wayne" Adams, age 86 of Somerset, passed away on March 3, 2025 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Wayne was born on November 20, 1938 in Pulaski County, the son of Frank Adams and Okel Baker Adams. He married his wife, Mary Rose on May 25, 1960 at Shopville, KY and they shared 53 years of marriage prior to her passing on December 12, 2013. Wayne was an active member of Whetsone Baptist Church and a long time Pulaski County farmer.

Survivors include his son, Jackie Wayne Adams of Somerset; his daughter, Patsy Adams of Somerset; 3 grandchildren, Amanda Payne, Sonja Adams and Cheyene Hensley; five great grandchildren, Bailey Price, Wayne Allen Miller, Austin Miller, Aiden Miller and Cheeza Adams; and a newborn great great grandson; three sisters, Imogene Jasper of IN, Brenda Harris and Linda Mitchell, both of OH; several nieces and nephews, extended family members, church family and friends who are saddened by his passing.

In addition to his parents Frank and Okel Adams, and his wife, Mary Adams, Wayne was preceded in death by his grandson, Wayne Lee Adams; four brothers, Frank Adams Jr "Junior", Cecil Adams, Jim Adams and LeRoy Adams; and one sister Justine Dugger.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 on Friday, March 7th at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Ogle officiating. Burial will be at Eden Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Charles McClure, Alan Miller, Austin Miller, Aiden Miller, Benny Gragg and Jackie Adams.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Donations can be mailed c/o Lake Cumberland Funeral Home in memory of Wayne Adams.
