Wanda Sue Sutherland
October 29, 1945 - May 8, 2025
Wanda "Sue" Daulton Sutherland, age 79 a lifelong resident of Pulaski County, passed from this life peacefully on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center after a brief illness. Her transition was made easier as she was surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Monday, October 29, 1945 in Science Hill, Kentucky, daughter of the late Hirstel and Mollie Scrimager Daulton. Wanda was a dedicated homemaker throughout her life and a loving, kindhearted and generous wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her later years she also enjoyed watching tv westerns and could quote the lines of the characters. She was of the Baptist Faith and a member of the Pine Hill Baptist Church. Wanda Sue was married on June 22, 1963 to Jerry Wayne Sutherland Sr. and he survives. She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two siblings; Ruth Hargis and Roy Daulton.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her devoted husband; Jerry Wayne Sutherland, Sr. of Somerset, two children; Sherry (Michael) Warren and Jerry Wayne (Eileen Tresa) Sutherland, Jr. all of Somerset, five grandchildren; Heather (Shawn) Parton, Rebekah (Scott) Goodpaster, John Michael (Katie) Warren, Terry Stringer and Emily (John) Gallaher, six great-grandchildren; Trinity McClanahan, Zadin McClanahan, Erek McClanahan, Ryan Abrams, Aurora Stringer and Yvonne Warren as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 in the Chapel of Somerset Undertaking Co & Crematory. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Branscum Officiating. Interment will be in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be John Warren, Terry Stringer, Shawn Parton, Scott Goodpaster, Ryan Abrams and Zadin McClanahan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Erek McClanahan and John Gallaher.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
