Somerset - Twila Faye Haynes, age 77 of Somerset, KY passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at Somerset Nursing & Rehabilitation. Twila was born on November 12, 1948 in Monticello, KY, the daughter of Cecil Ray Brown and Juanita Guffey Brown. Twila married Paul Ray Haynes on December 30, 1967 and they shared life and marriage for 50 years prior to his passing on October 18, 2018. She was a member of Monticello Nazarene Church where she attended for years. Twila enjoyed reading, UK Basketball, watching Survivor, and taking and sharing pictures. She will be remembered for her very kindhearted spirit and she never forgot a holiday or birthday for anyone...

Survivors include their two sons, Michael Ray Haynes (Tracy) of Somerset and Derek Scott Haynes (Margaret Shawn) of South Carolina; four grandchildren, Tyler Blake Haynes (Taylor), Noah Glenn Kitchen, Jacob Matthew Kitchen and Abigail Marie Haynes; one great granddaughter, Juniper Snow Haynes; her brothers, Cecil Kay Brown (Cathy) of Monticello, KY, Gary Brown (Janet) of Danville, KY, and Barry Brown (Kim), of Monticello; her sister, Barbara Crouch of Monticello, KY; extended family members, neighbors and friends who are deeply saddened by her passing.

Twila was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Juanita Brown; her husband, Paul Ray Haynes; and her sister, Linda Lair.

Visitation for Twila will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Hwy 80, Somerset, KY. Her funeral service will follow on August 3rd at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will be at Elk Springs Cemetery at Monticello, KY.
