Nancy - Raymond Keeney, age 96, of Nancy, KY, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Russell County Hospital.

Raymond was born on February 18, 1930 in Trimble, KY, to the late Coral Lee Keeney and Mable Jane Richardson Keeney. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church #1. Raymond was a farmer, avid gardener and cattleman. He loved his family and his precious wife of 73 years.

He is survived by seven children, Lois (James) Tarter of Nancy; Barbara (Bob) Hughes of Ira, MI, Garry (Karen Sue) Keeney of Nancy, Marshall (Brenda) Keeney of Dana, IN, Phyllis (Billy) Wilson of Somerset, Karin E. Stumbo of Simpsonville, KY and Dwight (Valerie) Keeney of Nancy; three sisters, Mary Beth Stevenson of Nancy, Betty Smith of Cincinnati, OH and Grace Cary of Bowling Green, KY; seventeen grandchildren, Anita (Mike) Loveless, Amanda Tarter, Lewis (Amanda Jo) Tarter, Ian Hughes, Libby (Donnie) Gramling, Jason (Kristy) Keeney, Lisa (Brad) Roberts, Marty Keeney, Tabitha (Jason) Pate, Jessica (Elliot) Norman, Ramie (Cora) Keeney, Billy D. (Jessica) Wilson, Justin (Allison) Wilson, Allie E. Stumbo, Hannah (Ethan) Leggett, Andrea (Ben) Webb and Brandon (Taylor) Keeney; twenty-eight great grandchildren, Makayla (Dylan) King, Logan (Priscilla) Loveless, Marissa Loveless, Ella Reed, Owen Reed, Elzie J. Tarter, Trever Gramling, Tyler Gramling, Abigail Gramling, Nathan Gramling, Aiden Keeney, Peyton Keeney, Landon Roberts, Dylan Roberts, Zac Roberts, Boone Roberts, Alexia Pate, Kylee Pate, Ava Lorrain, Sonny Wilson, Annie Wilson, Jazlyn Wilson, Aubrey Wilson, Luciana Wilson, Adaline Ray Webb, Clara Lee Webb, RuthAnn Caroline Keeney and Raylee Kate Keeney; three great-great grandchildren, Laramie Loveless, Maverick King and Barrett Loveless; and other family members, friends and neighbors. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 73 years, Eltie Baker Keeney, whom he married on May 30, 1949 and she preceded him on August 28, 2022; four brothers, Murrell Keeney, Winfred Keeney, Wayne Keeney and Linus Keeney; one sister, Pearl Shepherd; one granddaughter, Melissa (Scott) Berrels; and one infant great grandchild.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

His funeral service will follow on Friday, April 17, 2026 at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Donovan Smith and Bro. Barry Vaught officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Keeney, Logan Loveless, Jason Keeney, Justin Wilson, Billy Dee Wilson and Marty Keeney. Honorary pallbearer will be Cody Dobbs.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the Oak Grove Cemetery Fund in memory of Raymond Keeney.
