Paul Francis
June 8, 1939 - May 8, 2025
Paul Ray Francis, age 85, passed away from this life on May 8, 2025 and entered into his heavenly home.
He was born in Monticello, Ky to the late Cosby and Elizabeth (Worsham) Francis on June 8, 1939.
Paul earned a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Kentucky, and he remained an avid CATS fan. He spent the entirety of his over 40 year career as an engineer for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, retiring in 2001. After retirement, he continued utilizing his engineering knowledge to help with the design and planning of the new Grace Baptist Church building where he faithfully attended every week. Paul also enjoyed traveling with his wife and being present at any event that involved his grandchildren.
Paul knew no stranger. He was eager to talk to anyone about anything, but he was especially fond of talking about his family and the Lord. He had a generous heart and wanted to help people however he was able, oftentimes taking financial burdens away from others. He knew that all of his blessings came from the Lord and he wanted to share those blessings.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years, Dorothy Robbins Francis, whom he loved
dearly. He often remarked that he was so lucky to have found her. He also leaves behind daughters Teresa (Jeff) Shadowen, Lisa (Dennis) Heil, and Debbie (Mark) Isaacs, grandchildren Sara Shadowen, Sam (Paige) Shadowen, Olivia (Ryan) Hashemi, Hannah (Tucker) McAlpin, and Haley (Riley) Hall. He had great grandchildren: Lennon, Olive, Tripp and Addie that he adored, with two more on the way. He also had several grand dogs that were drawn to his quiet spirit that he simply tolerated.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and David Francis, and grandson Christopher Dawes. He has one surviving sister, Virginia (Jack) Lykins, along with several nieces and nephews.
The Family will receive friends on Monday, May 12, 2025 at Grace Baptist Church from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM.
A funeral service will follow visitation at Grace Baptist Church at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 12, 2025 with the pastors of Grace Baptist Church officiating.
He will be laid to rest in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family requests that any donations be made to the Grace Baptist Church Mission Program.
Pulaski Funeral Home is Honored to assist the family with arrangements.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
