Maxine Hainey, 94, a resident of Fair Oaks Nursing Home, died Friday, March 10, 2017. She was born February 20, 1923 in Pulaski County to the late Luther & Mittie Young Ashbrook. She was a homemaker and a member of Salem United Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Hainey; 2 sons. Larry Hainey, Joseph Hainey; 3 brothers, Johnny, Edward, & Doyle Ashbrook; 1 sister, Ruth Gosser Survivors 1 son: Harry (Sandy) Hainey, Nancy, Ky 2 daughters-in-law: Mary Ann Hainey, Greenwood, IN; Diane Hainey, Russell Springs 1 sister: Doris Roy, Whiteland, IN 1 sister-in-law: Christine Ashbrook, Somerset, Ky 5 grandchildren: Scott, Shelby, Angela, Doug, Donella 5 great grandchildren Funeral service for Maxine Hainey will be 2 PM. Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Larold Gosser officiating. Visitation after 12 PM. Sunday. Interment in the Pine Grove Cemetery on Gosser Ridge. Pallbearers: Kevin Jones, Scott Hainey, Doug Hainey, Jimmy Hare, David Gosser, Jerry Stogill Bernard Funeral Home in Russell Springs in charge of arrangements.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
