Science Hill - Larry Michael Keeney, 69, of Science Hill, Kentucky passed from this life on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 in Lancaster, under the care of his brother and sister-in-law after an extended illness.

He was born on March 30, 1956 in Somerset, Kentucky, son of the late Bro. Lloyd C. and Virginia Kathleen Meece Keeney.

Larry was a 1974 graduate of Somerset High School where he excelled in his studies and was a member of the National Honor Society. He was also a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science degree. Larry was an intelligent and intellectual person who enjoyed reading and in his later years, watching movies. Larry was a dedicated employee, the last seven years at M & W Printing in Somerset. He was an avid UK wildcat fan and also enjoyed anything to do with NASA. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and a sister; Amelia Louise Keeney.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his brother; James L (Sandra) Keeney of Lancaster, Kentucky and several cousins and friends that will certainly mourn his passing.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, February 16, 2026 in the Chapel of Somerset Undertaking Co & Crematory. A Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Hatter officiating. Burial will be in the Somerset City Cemetery.
