Somerset - Imogene Casada Flynn, age 92 of Somerset, KY passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Imogene was born on November 11,1933 at Frazier, Ky, the daughter of Frank Casada and Zella Jones Casada. She embraced the role of wife, mother, and Ninny Flynn......she also worked as a Surgical Nurse Aide at Somerset Hospital and as co-owner of Flynn's Grocery on Slate Branch Road for 28 years. She married Billy Flynn on November 18,1949 and they shared life and marriage for 54 years prior to his passing in 2003. She enjoyed cooking big meals and her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Jerry Flynn of Somerset; two daughters, Barbara Sanders (Steve) of Somerset and Lana Flynn Richmond (Tim) of Cape Girardeau, MO; two daughters-in-law, Tresa Flynn and Stephanie Flynn, both of Somerset; grandchildren, Bryan, Brad, Marty, Hailey, Aimee, April, Jasilyn, and Jordyn; 26 great grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Layton and Hudson; one sister, Karen Branscum of Somerset; extended family members, church family, neighbors and friends who are deeply saddened by her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Zella Casada; her first husband, Billy Flynn; her second husband, Russell Lee; two sons, Steve Flynn and Danny Flynn; two grandsons, Jeryd Flynn and Stephen Flynn; one great-great grandchild, William; her brothers, Carl Casada and David Casada; and two sisters, Geneva Flynn and Janice Casada.

The family would like to express our sincere appreciation to her special caregiver, Betty Owens and to the kind and caring nurses of Hospice of Lake Cumberland.... "Thank You"!!

Visitation for Imogene will be held on Thursday, July 23,2026 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Hwy 80, Somerset, KY 42503. There will be a second visitation on Friday, July 24,2026 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Liberty Baptist Church, 461 Hwy 790, Bronston, KY 42518. Her funeral service will follow on Friday, July 24th at 11:00 am at Liberty Baptist Church with Bro. Adam Evans and Bro. Isiah Super officiating and music by Jill Hardwick and the Daltons. Burial will be at the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Marty Flynn, Fisher Flynn, Steven Flynn, Gabe Spradlin, Hayden Chaney, Brad Sanders and Jaydon Sanders. Honorary Pallbearers will be Channing Jamison and Wyatt Oliver.
