Holland  Hall
General Holland Hall, age 94, of Somerset, KY., passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center.
Holland was born on July 20, 1925 in Pound, VA to the late Calvin Morgan Hall and Estey Phipps Hall. He was a Machinist in Detroit and retired to Somerset and attended Pisgah Presbyterian Church. Holland was an avid photographer, and volunteered at God's Food Pantry for over ten years. He was instrumental in the rebuilding of the Pisgah School House.
He is survived by his wife, Carmelita Mae Pyrrhus Hall, whom he married on July 31, 1947 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in St. Clair Shores, MI; one son, Larry (and Jill) Hall of Port Ludlow, WA; two daughters, Sharon (Steve) Kernstock of Olympia, WA and Toni (and Steve) Dye of Somerset, KY; four grandchildren, Ryan (and Ayrica) Kernstock, Erin (and Chris) Dye Granville, Garrett (and Saori) Dye, and Wesley (and Kimberly) Hall; three great-grandchildren, Sasha Dye, Jack Dye, and Emberly Hall.
Along with his parents, Calvin and Estey Hall, he was preceded in death by one sister, Cleo LeMaster.
Visitation for Holland will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 2:00pm with Chaplain Greg Ryan officiating. Burial will be at Pisgah Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
