Ethel  Jones
Ethel Marie Padgett Jones, age 85, of Somerset, KY, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2019.
Ethel was born on December 17, 1933 in Waynesburg, KY to the late Harve Padgett and Bessie Yantz Padgett. She was married in Somerset at the house of S.L. Woods to the late James Everett Jones. She was a member of the Red Hatter Club, Democrat Women's Club and KY Colonel. Ethel loved NASCAR, cruising in her convertible, collecting various memorabilia and decorating cakes. She was a member and attended Saline Baptist Church and also attended Ringgold Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Doug Jones of Somerset, Guy (and Tonya) Jones of Stanford and Greg Jones of Somerset; three daughters, Brenda (and Lewis) Barnett of Somerset, Linda (and Gary) Floyd of Somerset and Lori Herring of Somerset; one daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Jones of Science Hill; four brothers, Richard (and Martha) Padgett of Waynesburg, Ernest (and Violet) Padgett of Clanton, AL, Bill Padgett of OH and Alvin Padgett of Lancaster; three sisters, Barbara Eldridge of Dry Ridge, Martha Black of Waynesburg and Ina Padgett of Somerset; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Everett Jones; two sons, Charles Jones and Walter (and Gerri) Jones; five brothers, Willard Padgett, Calvin Padgett, Jim Padgett, Orville Padgett and Otis Padgett; five sisters, Mae Coleman, Violet Powell, Mary Padgett, Zella Harris and Stella Brown; two grandchildren who passed at infancy, Guy Michael Jones Jr. and Jonathan Jones; one great-grandchild, Claire Ann Jones; and her lifelong best friend, Corene Jones.
Visitation will be on Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at 2:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Noah Broughton and Bro. Lonnie Sewell officiating. Burial will be at Saline-Jones Cemetery in Somerset.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the Jones Cemetery Fund.

Heaven gained a very special angel Mrs. Jones had a huge family she raised her children an several grandchildren there were very few times over the past 20 years I've not seen her car loaded down with children this earth lost a very special queen may u always reat peacefully with our Lord until we meet again I'll be missing u

There is a big reunion in heaven with Ethel and her family. I saw her at the Padgett reunion in Aug. I a glad I got to meet her, my third cousin.
