Cynthiana, KY - Eddie "Dumpy" Girdler, age 56, of Cynthiana, Kentucky, passed away after a 5 year battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) on Sunday, March 29, 2026. Eddie was born on August 23, 1969, in Somerset, Kentucky, to the late Eddie Carl and Betty Silvers Girdler.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte McNay Girdler; children, Justin Wayne (Caitlin) Girdler, Casey Nicole (Nick) Foreman, Randall Wayne Patterson, Jordan Edward (Alexis) Girdler, Enzo Girdler, Kobi Girdler; a sister, Bonnie (Jason) Acey; brothers, Sye Paul (Rita) Hughes, David (Shirley) Hughes; eight grandchildren, Cooper Patterson, Tina Snider, Karson Girdler, Will Snider, Riley Foreman, Jensen Foreman, Rebekah Patterson, PJ Girdler; uncle, Hobie (Bubbles) Girdler; nieces and nephews, Paul Hughes, Casper Hughes, Carey Ann (Chris) Hughes, Dakota (Emily) Acey, Payton Acey.

Eddie was a fan of all sports, a huge fan of the Atlanta Braves, Dallas Cowboys, and the University of Kentucky. He enjoyed playing softball and basketball. Eddie was a very social person, many would say the "life of the party" even. He enjoyed his beer and never met a stranger. Bike rallies were something Eddie liked to frequent, but one of his favorite past times was playing pool and showing off. There are so many family and friends who will miss him forever.

Visitation will be held at Ware Funeral Home in Cynthiana, the evening of Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Funeral services for Eddie will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 3, 2026, at Ware Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service in Battle Grove Cemetery.
