Edna  Floyd
Edna Marie Floyd, age 85, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Homestead Post Acute.
She was born on October 11, 1934 in Somerset, KY to the late James A. Whitis and Mary Bell Goff Whitis. She worked as a seamstress for Irvine Industries.
She is survived by one son, Bill (and Earlene) Grider of Versailles; one daughter, Reda Floyd of Lexington; three brothers, James F. Whitis, Robert Whitis and Harold Whitis; four sisters, Margaret Poindexter, Viola Pike, Paulette Murphy and Mary Mink; one grandson, Joshua Aaron Grider; one great granddaughter, Eastlyn Jade Grider; a host of nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, "Boo Baby".
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Floyd, who preceded her on September 13, 1998; three brothers, Carl Whitis, Edwin Whitis and Herbert Whitis; and three sisters, Maxine Johnson, Pearl Hall and Lena McQueen.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 18, 2019 from 10:00am until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will follow on Friday at 1:00pm with Bro. Larry Butte officiating. Burial will be at Mill Springs National Cemetery.
