Burnside - Mr David Charles Johnston age, 87, of Jasper Lake Drive, Burnside, KY. He passed away at his home on February 3rd 2025 following a short illness.

He was born on July 7, 1937 in Annville, KY, and was the son of the late Charles Byron Johnston, and Martha Jane Dotson Johnston (Combs). He was an Army Veteran. After coming home from service to Dayton, Ohio, he worked at the M&M Auto Body Repair Shop. After buying property in Jasper Bend, KY, He and his wife decided to move there after building a house on the property. He worked as a carpenter and other construction jobs in and around Jasper Bend for 49 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Napier Johnston, daughter Megan Oleta Johnston (& Eric Gosser), three grandchildren, Kaidyn Adrianna Sharpe, Xavier Paul Truman Sharpe, David Cameron Lee Johnston,(Samantha Davis, Daelyn Cameron Davis), two brothers Lawrence "Bubby" Johnston,(Aretha), Charles Dwayne Johnston, (Kathy). Two sisters Lilly Johnston Glasgow, (Benny), Diane Johnston Lannard (Buddy), three sister-in-laws Carolyn Casanova, Linda Johnston, Faye Johnston, and an abundance of nephews and nieces, and great nephews and nieces, and a great many friends.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Paul Daughtry, Johnny Johnston, Billy Johnston, two sisters Loretta Johnston Moore, Norma Jean Johnston Kaveney, Nephew, Johnny Johnston.

In place of a funeral, Dave asked to be cremated and some of his ashes to be spread over Jasper Bend and on the lake, and at his home. He really loved living in Jasper Bend and chose not to leave it.

There will be a Celebration of Life for David Johnston on July 5th, 2025 at Alpine Park between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. All are invited to come and celebrate his life.
