William "Bill" Harding Denney, Jr., age 64, of the Cedar Grove Community, passed from his earthly home to his Heavenly Home on June 12, 2017, surrounded by his family.
Surviving Bill are his loving wife of 42 years, Sandra Heath Denney, and the light of his life, daughter Amanda Parker Denney. He is also survived by his loving sisters, Sandy (Bobby) Molen, of Nancy, Sharon (Mickey) Winter, of Waynesburg, and brother, Jimmy (Joy) Denney, of Somerset. He leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews; Michael (Amanda) Molen, Johnny (Becky) Molen, Joseph Denney, Stephanie Denney, Ashley Wesley, Amy Denney, Christy (Mark) Hargett, Gary (Ann) Cline, Shawn (Amber) Ramsey, Robert Ramsey and Vicki Morris, his special sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Forrest Martin, of Somerset, and Barbara and Robert Ramsey, of Somerset, and will always be "Uncle Bill" to Kyler, William, Elizabeth and Lauren Ramsey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, two uncles, Charlie Bob Vaught and Jackie Vaught, and two nephews, Kevin Molen and David Cline.
Bill was a long-time employee of Tecumseh Products Company, and later Somerset Community College. He loved the outdoors, gardening, cloud watching, animals and was an avid fisherman. He also loved visiting with friends and family and never met a stranger.
Bill was saved at an early age, while attending Ferguson Baptist Church, and earnestly began working for Christ when he became a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. He considered his most important work was in the position he served as Deacon in his church. He always had the testimony "I'm so glad I'm Saved!"
He was a loving and devoted husband and father, and will greatly be missed by all who knew him.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Somerset Undertaking Company, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m., until time for funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Officiating the ceremony will be Bro. Ronald Wilson and Bro. Mickey Winter with burial in the Minton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Pulaski County Alzheimer?s Respite Center.
