Richard "Rick" Wayne Mullins, 56, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away suddenly Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on August 3, 1960, son of the late Lucian and Jane Gibbons Mullins. Rick was a road construction supervisor for 35 years and a member of Sunrise Baptist Church in Woodstock. He enjoyed NASCAR, hunting, fishing and spending time and cooking with his family. He was a kind and caring person, who will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Liz New Mullins, whom he married on August 11, 1990 in Science Hill, two sons, Kendall Mullins and Kameron Mullins, all of Science Hill, one daughter, April Mullins Kendrick of Somerset, one brother, Jimmy Mullins & (Rani) of Hopkinsville, KY, one sister, Lisa Mullins Evans & (Jack) of Somerset, three grandchildren, Megan Kendrick, Norah and Jon Lucas Reynolds, also of Somerset and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Mike Mullins, paternal grandparents, William Edward and Beulah Mullins and maternal grandparents, Homer and Fannie Gibbons Rogers.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM today, Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Massey, Bro. Ronnie Ping and Bro. John Lear officiating.
Burial will be in Bethel Church of Christ Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11 AM today at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Richard Wayne Mullins memorial fund.
