Cheryl's Story

Cheryl Diane Lovett, age 69, of Somerset, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at her residence.
She was born on July 7, 1947 in Roswell, New Mexico, daughter of the late Charles Vernon Johnson and Mary G. Mittness Riley. Cheryl was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. In her spiritual walk with the Lord, she was passionate and a dedicated Pastor's wife. She was a member of the First Apostolic Church of Somerset. Cheryl loved children and seemed to never meet a stranger. She enjoyed
beautiful things and loved the outdoors and spending time with her children, and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After the loss of her eyesight, she remained positive and embraced her newest great-grandchild and spoke afterwards that now, "I know what our newest great-grandchild looks like. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons; Anthony Ray Lovett and Jonathan Harry Lovett brothers; Charles Vernon Johnson, Jr., Kim David Johnson,
She is survived by her loving husband; Rev. Patrick H. Lovett, whom she married December 4, 1964 in Atwater, California. Her daughters; Mary and (Jody) Crandall of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Fonda Ilene Lovett-Lawrence (Peter) of Riverbank, California, Audry and (Rev. Robert) Garza of Riverbank, California. Brothers; Kevin Johnson, Stockton, California, Jack Mittness of Las Vegas, Nevada. Sister; Christina and (Michael) Morris of Fresno, California. Fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the First Apostolic Church of Somerset at 118 University Drive, Somerset, Kentucky.
In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the "Sponsor a Child for Youth Camp Fund" in care of the First Apostolic Church at 118 University Drive, Somerset, Kentucky 42501 in Memory of Cheryl Diane Lovett.
