Walter Lewis "Auctioneer" Wesley, 76, of Science Hill passed away Monday, April 8, 2019 at his residence.
He was born in Science Hill, Kentucky on April 6, 1943; son of the late Noah & Lula Jane Wesley. He was a life long auctioneer, having started in 1971. He was owner and operator of W&W Auction which he passed on to his son Bobby Wesley while continuing to be active as an auctioneer. Throughout the years he also traveled to other areas performing auctions for other companies.
He is survived by his wife Joella Branscum Wesley, whom he married on June 3, 1961; a son, Bobby & (Tonya Dale Vanover) Wesley of Science Hill; two daughters, Donna Jo & (Paul) Hardwick of Somerset, Krystal Susan & (Anthony Zachary) Brown of Science Hill; two brothers, William Lester & (Barb) Wesley, Willis Loyd & (Joann) Wesley; eleven grandchildren, Catrena Marie Marcelo, William Ray Hardwick, Amanda Gail Hail, Peyton Nicole Tucker, Ethan Michael Tucker, Breanna Kay Grace Wesley, Dylan Lewis Wesley, McKayla Dale Wesley, Brandi Elisabeth Brown, Natalie Allen, Brittany Hatmaker; eleven great-grandchildren, Samantha Wesley, Reina Wesley, Hailey Hardwick, Cody Hardwick, Jenibeth Moses, Teyton Chandler, Ariana Marcelo, Raegan Hardwick, Tatum Hatmaker, Mason Hatmaker, and Bailey Simpson.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Elizabeth Wesley.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Tim Poynter, Dr. Sandy, & Dr. McKinney.
Services were held on Wednesday April 10, 2019 at 2 PM at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ronald Meece officiating.
