Rosetta  Coner


Rosetta Coner, age 86, of Nancy, KY, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center.
Rosetta was born on October 20, 1932 in Richmond, KY to the late Hobert McQueen and Addaline Crawford McQueen. She retired as a Cook from Nancy Elementary. Rosetta was a member of Chesterview Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for over fifty years. She was also a member of the Fidelis Order Eastern Star #545.
She is survived by one son, Deward (and Melissa) Coner of Nancy, KY; one daughter, Marsha (and Lawrence) Underwood of Somerset, KY; three grandchildren, Deward Aaron (and Jessica) Coner of Sudlersville, MD, Jesse Lynn Coner of Bowie, MD and Samantha (and Trevor) Walls of Sudlersville, MD; and four great-grandchildren, Claira Rosetta Coner, Eliza Jane Coner, Aimee Brooklynn Walls and Camden Allan Walls.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Deward Coner, who preceded her on January 29, 2009; one son, Leonard Coner; three brothers Kenneth McQueen, Alonzo McQueen and Harry McQueen; and one sister, Dora Lynn McQueen Coner.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will follow on Tuesday at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Norman Harper officiating. Burial will be at Mill Springs National Cemetery.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the Chesterview Baptist Church Building Fund.
