Reed Charles Helton

Reed Charles Helton, age 90, passed in peace on the 19th of July 2018 while in PA visiting his beloved grandchildren. Born on September 28th, 1927 in Kentucky, the home of his favorite Kentucky Wildcats. He was the son of Estel and Cordie Helton. Reed is a veteran of the Second Great War. He enlisted in 1945 as Private First-Class Auto Serviceman with the famous 1st Infantry, achieving the Army Occupation Medal and World War 2 Victory Medal. Reed took his passion for auto mechanics and continued his career with NCR and General Motors. He would eventually retire in 1991 after earning the title of Final Assembly Inspector. He would go on to pursue his higher calling for Walleye fishing. His passion and dedication to detail attributed to his quality of life. He impacted all those who had the privilege of his acquaintance. He loved spending time with friends and family. Reed is survived by his brother, beloved wife, son, 2 grandsons and 5 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life is scheduled on August 11th in Burnside, KY. He will be missed by many and always remembered.
