Milford Carroll Blevins, age 75, of Somerset, KY., departed this life on Monday, November 13, 2017 at the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington, KY.
Milford was born on February 24, 1942 in King Bee, KY., to the late Killis and Bertha Wiles Blevins. He served in the United States Army and was a member of Oakhill Baptist Church. He loved camping, fishing, and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Sue Blevins, of whom he married on July 30, 1966 in Ringold, GA; two brothers, Robert Elwood Blevins of Science, KY and Bobby Ray Turner of Monticello, KY., and several sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, and several special nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Pauline Smith, Christine Hunter, and Virginia Brewster and six brothers, Clifford, Delmar, Eugene, James, and Huey.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017 after 6:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
His funeral service will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Wiles officiating. Burial will be at Mill Springs National Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the King Bee Cemetery.
