Maxine Lovins, 86, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born in Welborne, Kentucky on May 29, 1931, daughter of the late Sally Phelps. She was a caregiver and a very special woman. She opened her doors to many through the years. She was a Godly woman that loved her family and friends.
She is survived by those she thought of like sons, Frank Rodgers and Perry Cain, two grandchildren, Jennifer Rodgers of Somerset and Theo Rodgers of Dayton, OH, four great-grandchildren, Christian "Koda" Smith, Eian Depew, Matthew Rodgers and Riley Rodgers, sister-in-law, Faye Phelps, niece, Tonya McKnight and nephew, Timmy Phelps. She is also survived by special niece, Missy Wesley & (Tim) her great-nieces and great-nephews, Latara Wesley, Tiffany Shelton, Tim Wesley, Jr., Thomas Wesley and Tyler Wesley, thank you all for being there for Maxine.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lovins, one daughter, Penny Rodgers, one son, Ricky Lee Lovins and one grandson, Eli Rodgers.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM today, Friday, December 8, 2017 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Charlie Bullock officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11 AM today at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
