Margaret Ellen Miller, age 78, of Somerset, KY passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the University of Kentucky Hospital.
Margaret was born on October 10, 1939 in Dabney, KY to the late Theodore "Ted" Meece and Lillie Sowder Meece. She was a former employee of Oakwood and a former co-owner of North Midway Restaurant. Margaret attended Harvest Time Assembly of God as long as her health permitted. She enjoyed crafts, quilting, her family and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons, Kenneth (Janice) Miller of Crab Orchard, Timothy Miller of London and James (Patience) Miller of Somerset; one daughter, Sonja (Billy) Simpson of Somerset; one brother, Gary Meece of Eubank; one sister-in-law, Doretta Meece of Eubank; ten grandchildren, Zachary Miller, Ethan Miller, Brandon Miller, Racheal Amadon, Shawndraya Silvers, James Miller II, Maryann Bechard, Tyler Miller, Jacob Simpson, and Kimber Haynes; and five great grandchildren, Kelsey, Keyanna, and Kambree Silvers, Axel Haynes and Lincoln Haynes.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Miller, whom she married on January 16, 1957 in London and he preceded her on August 5, 1996; one daughter; Dora Gaye Miller, and two brothers, Bobby Meece and Ray Meece.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home. A second visitation will be on Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will follow on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jesse McCoy officiating. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jacob Simpson, James Miller II, Tyler Miller, Zachary Miller, Ethan Miller and Brandon Miller.
