Lucretia Irene Fox, 87, of Memphis, passed from this life Friday, December 8, 2017. She was born February 28, 1930 in Somerset, KY to the late Leo and Ruth F. Decker Hill. Lucretia was married to the late Leonard Fox and was a military wife for 20 years. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who tirelessly took care of everyone until her health no longer allowed her to do so. She was known for her smile and her kindness to others. She was very proud of her family and was proud to be "Granny" to her 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She loved family get-togethers and would spend hours cooking and preparing for the large extended family that always seemed to gather in the kitchen. She somehow managed to make every guest feel special by serving their favorite dish or treat whenever they visited. She had an infectious smile and a slightly mischievious sense of humor. Beside her family, the things she loved most was a good deal at the grocery store and a good cup of coffee at the kitchen table with family. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by family. She was preceded in death by her father; Leo Hill, her mother; Ruth Barnes, her husband; Leonard Fox, a grandson; Michael Semones, and her brothers; Jerry and Joe Barnes. She is survived by her daughters; Jane Alexander (John), Judy Logsdon (Verl), sisters; Sharlene Eldridge, Dorothy Hughes, and her grandchildren; Maggie Alexander, Jessica Oliver (Jason) and Angela Bryan (Jay).
