Mrs. Lucille Phelps, 93, of Somerset, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 17, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was a stalwart homemaker, always available to tend to the needs of her family. She was saved at the age of 11 at the Bethelridge Methodist Church and was a faithful member of the Somerset First United Methodist Church for more than 60 years. In later years this relationship with her savior Jesus Christ evolved into a ministry of sending cards to people for whom she wanted to convey a caring message. These cards were carefully and lovingly crafted to apply just the right words to the situation that was addressed. These cards became a source of consolation and solace for many people.
