Lucian "Bill"'s Story

Lucian William "Bill" Carrender, are 78 was born in the Frazer community of Wayne County, October 14, 1938 the son of the late Benn and Arizona New Carrender.  He departed this life Tuesday evening, June 6th in the Emergency Room of the Wayne County Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Rosie Mae Tucker Carrender and children: Lucian William Carrender Jr, James Robert (Teresa) Carrender, Shirley Ann Carrender, Patience Colleen (Tim) McLaughlin, Tabitha Shivon Carrender, Amanda Gail (Bill) Padgett, Jeanie Sue Hughes, Sandra Mae (Chris) West, Joe Donald (Freda) Hammond and Christina Allison Hammond.
Also surviving are his siblings: Harley Carrender, Cindy Carrender, Earl (Margie) Carrender, Victoria (David) Peters; grandchildren: Daniel Lee (Jennifer) Carrender, Lacey Renee (Josh) Irvin, Edward Vertrees (Ashley) Weddle, Stacy Ann (Christian) Cox, Ashley Marie (Jamey) Disponett, Jairus Evan (Jessica) McLaughlin, Samantha Nichole (Vladi)Makasova, Jessica Lynn Witten Holli Marie Witten, Bailey Ann Witten, Joseph Alan Witten, Dakota Isaac Blankenship, Isabella Marie Padget, Nicholas Wayne Padgett, Brittany Nichole Hughes, Cadynce Eller West, Xaivea Ray-Ann West, Shawn Aaron Hammond and Zachery Allen Hammond and 29 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his siblings: Hershel "George" Carrender, Kenneth Carrender and Donnie Phelps and his grandson William Robert Carrender.
Bill served his country in the Navy for 11 years and served his Lord as a member of the Cedar Hill Baptist Church.
The funeral service will be 3 PM Friday in the Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Carrender-Tuttle Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 3 Friday.
