Londis's Story

Londis Jay Ridener, age 85, of Indianapolis, IN and formerly of Somerset, KY passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Franciscan Health in Mooresville, Indiana.
Londis was born on May 29, 1932 in Ula, KY to the late Genius Ridener and Okel Hargis Ridener. He was a Foreman for Jones Chemicals in Indianapolis for 40 years. Londis was a veteran of the United States Army.
Londis is survived by his wife, Virginia Sally Ridener; his children, Kitty (and Randy) Hubbell of Indianapolis, IN, David (and Lynne) Ridener of Indianapolis, IN, Penny Thomas of Indianapolis, IN and Tina (and Chris) Stanley of Indianapolis, IN; two brothers, Jack (and Wilma) Ridener of Somerset and Rick (and Linda) Ridener of Somerset; three sisters, Lucille Childers of Indianapolis, IN, Emma Line Bradley of Somerset and Eula Rose Phelps of Somerset; seven grandchildren, Melissa Johnson, Zach Ridener, Brandon Hubbell, Amanda Thomas, Brittani Ridener, Ronnie Thomas and Jenna Stanley; and six great grandchildren.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Ronny Ridener; one brother, Vonis Ridener; one infant sister, Phyllis Ridener; and one sister, Wanda Mounce.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
His funeral service will follow on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 12:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Dalous Sears officiating. Burial will be at Piney Grove Cemetery in Somerset. Pallbearers will be Zach Ridener, Brandon Hubbell, Derrick Johnson, Ronnie Thomas, Roger Ridener, Dale Ridener, and Jon Ridener.
The family requests expressions of sympathy may be made to the Piney Grove Cemetery Fund.
