Judi Carol Brown, age 62, of Nancy, KY, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.
Judi was born on May 26, 1955 in Pulaski County, KY to the late Otis Thurston Oaks and Evelyn Hines Oaks. She loved being outdoors, watching birds, fishing and boating. Judi also enjoyed oil painting. She worked almost twenty years as an Activity Director for Adanta.
She is survived by eight brothers and sisters, Veanna (and Winford) Hash of Somerset, Michael (and Pam) Oaks of Muncie, Ind., Barbara Gibson of Somerset, Pamela Tracy of Somerset, Peggy Upton of Somerset, Debra (and Gary) Campbell of Chattanooga, TN, Kimberly Oaks of Somerset and Jonathan Oaks of Somerset; two children by marriage, Brian (and Angela) Brown of Pendleton, Ind. and Suzanne (and Christopher) Brown of Noblesville, Ind.; five grandchildren by marriage, Kelvin Harvey, Nathaniel Harvey, Zachary Garner, Macy Brown and Neal Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Phillippi, who passed away in 1996; her second husband, Donald Brown, who passed away on January 30, 2016; and two brothers, Tommy Oaks and Kevin Oaks.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will follow on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. William Brown officiating. Burial will be at Morrow's Chapel Cemetery in Jabez.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
