Joe Dell Silvers, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Somerset Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. He was born in Quinton, KY on October 23, 1932, to the late Joe Bradley Silvers and Myrtle Thompson Silvers.
He married Lillie Ann Burns on July 1, 1957. Joe was owner and operator of Silvers Somerset Oil. He was of the Baptist faith.
Joe is survived by one son, Michael Dell Silvers; one daughter, Patricia Ann Stratmann (Shawn); a sister, Lorraine Turpen (Eugene); grandchildren, Danielle Smith, Amber Hogue, Linsey Silvers, Miranda Silvers, Kailey Silvers and Lacey Silvers; step-grandchildren, Ashleigh Stratmann, Rebecca Durham and Christopher Stratmann; and three great-grandchildren, Cayden Hogue, Cody Hogue and Savannah Roberts.
In addition to Joe's parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Ann Burns Silvers on April 11, 2017; five brothers, Lester Silvers, Hubert Silvers, Chester Silvers, Martie Silvers and Everett Silvers; and one sister, Lena Flynn.
Visitation for Joe Dell Silvers will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017, after 11:00 a.m., at the Chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company and Crematory. A celebration honoring the life of Joe Dell Silvers will follow at 1:00 p.m., with Bro. David Muse officiating. Interment will follow at the Quinton Cemetery, Bronston, KY.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Silvers, Jackie Silvers, Gary Turpin, Curtis Silvers, Jr., Bob Silvers and Joe Duncan.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Pulaski County Alzheimer's Respite Center.
