Jerry Wayne Ping, age 69, of Ocala, FL, formerly of Somerset, passed from this life on July 24, 2017, at the Cornerstone Hospice Center of Orlando, FL.
He was born in Pulaski Co. on Feb. 8, 1948, son of the late Elva Ping Mink and Denver Mink of Somerset, KY.
He is survived by his wife Tammy Laferrara and sons, Michael Ping, Winter Haven, FL, Bruce (Sheila) Ping of Liberty, Ky., Josh (Stephanie) Stevens, Ocala, FL. He is survived by sisters Brenda (Steve) Flynn, Nancy, KY, Linda (Harold) Burnett, Glenda (Orville) Brown, and Sherry Richards, all of Somerset, KY, brothers, Jim (Janice) Mink, Nancy, Junior "Doc" (Sheryl) Mink, Somerset, Bill Mink, Eubank; brother Johnny Mink predeceased him.
He is survived by grandchildren, Dyllon, Keely, Gracie and Haley Ping; Logan and Luke Stevens.
Jerry was in the mobile home sales business in FL for over 40 years. He was a collector of historic cars and loved horses.
A celebration of life will be held in Lakeland, FL, by his Florida family and friends. A celebration of life will also be held here in Somerset at a later date.
Jerry will certainly be missed by all who knew him.
