Mrs. Hollis Hardwick Whitson, Widow of John Whitson, age 81, of the Pine Hill Community of Pulaski County passed from this life on Friday, May 26, 2017 at her residence.
She was born on March 29, 1936 in Monticello, Kentucky, daughter of the late Ottis Hardwick and Nannie Muse Hardwick. Hollis was a Homemaker, of the Baptist Faith and attended the Pine Hill Baptist Church before her failing health. She was a loving and caring Mother and Grandmother who cherished her relationship with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family and friends.
Mrs. Whitson was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sons; Gary and Michael Whitson along with a great-granddaughter; Abigail whitson, her brothers; William and Ottis Hardwick, Jr.
She leaves behind to cherish her precious memories her brothers; Doyle and (Gene) Hardwick and her sisters; Clora Tull, Rose Jackson, and Ruby Vaught, grandchildren; Misti Coffey, Sheri and (Jake) Holloway, Jodi and (Garry) Whitson, Jonathan, and (Kristin) Whitson along with her great-grandchildren; Megan Coffey, Noah Baker, Morgan Coffey, Christopher Holloway, Kaitlyn Holloway, Paul Baker, Anna Whitson, Marti Cummings, Grace Diggins, Jadynn Shepherd, Emily Baker and Willow Whitson, and one great-great grandson; Bryson Dick. She also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 29, 2017 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 with Brother David Muse officiating, Interment will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Pine Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Mrs. Hollis Hardwick Whitson.
