Gregory Joe Raleigh, age 45, of the Valley Road Community in Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, February 9, 2018 at the Lexington VA Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky after a brief illness.
He was born on April 13, 1972 in Detroit, Michigan. He is the son of Irvin Raleigh and Billie Joe Raleigh. Greg worked as an Electrician with the Army Corps of Engineer in the London/Laurel Lake Division. He served his country in the United States Army. He married to Melanie Patton Raleigh in Somerset. He was of the Pentecostal Faith and a member of the Tabernacle Pentecostal Ministries of Somerset. Greg enjoyed spending time painting and drawing as well as in his leisure spending time with his family and friends. His radiant smile and gallant spirit will be leave a void in the lives of those he knew and loved.
He is survived by his parents, Irvin Raleigh and Billie Jo Napier Raleigh of Eubank, his beloved wife; Melanie Patton Raleigh of Somerset, his children; Michael and April Raleigh, brother; Irvin Dwayne (Amy) Raleigh of Bronston, nephew; Dustin Elliot of Bronston and nieces; Alyssa and Haley Raleigh, Father-In-Law, Rodney Patton of Somerset and his "Grand Puppy" Roscoe, well as host of other relative and friends. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 11, 2018 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral. The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Emmitt Lanham officiating. Interment will be in the Southern Oaks Cemetery.
