Flossie E. Hill, age 93, of Cincinnati, formerly of Tateville, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at The Anderson Nursing Home, in Cincinnati.
Flossie was born on January 6, 1925, in Ferguson, Kentucky, daughter of William Archie and Roxie Ann Decker Turpin. She married James A. Hill on December 22, 1946, in Ravenna, Kentucky. Flossie worked as a clerk for the Disabled American Veterans, until retirement. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, working crossword puzzles and playing volleyball.
She is survived by her children, Carl N. Hill (Jeri), Erma A. Scott (David), Susan D. Moore (Arnold), all of Cincinnati, and Jennifer Hollingshead (Ed), of Maineville, Ohio; her sister, Marie Beasley, of Tyner, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Nicole Allen (Tony), Rachael Boegeman (Dale), Tracy Williamson (Steve), Matthew Moore, Holly Manning (Jason), all of Cincinnati, Kelly Carrier (Kyle), of New York, New York, Erin Hughes (Mark) and Ed Hollingshead, III, both of Maineville, Ohio; and her 15 great-grandchildren.
Flossie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; and her half-sister, Clara Smith.
Visitation will be Monday, February 19, 2018, after 12:00 p.m., in the Somerset Undertaking Company chapel.
A Celebration of the Life of Flossie E. Hill will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018, at 1:00 p.m., in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Roger Dykes officiating.
Interment will be in the Grave Hill Cemetery, in Tateville. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
