Evva's Story

Evva was born September 23, 1923 to Harrison and Myra Ramsey Matthews at the family farm in Stop Kentucky. She departed this life on November 18th, 2017 having attained the age of 94. Evva was united in marriage to Frank Liptak of NJ who passed away in 2001. She was a member of the Stop Church of Christ and loved the Lord and was a wonderful Christian example to all she came in contact with. Evva is survived by four children Patricia (Tony) Blanton Eubank, KY; Fran (Ron) Fister Alpharetta, GA; Frank (Dianne) Liptak Jr Webster, NY; and Scott Liptak of Sewaren, NJ. She is survived by grandchildren Matt (Leslie) Johnson, Evva Turner, RP (Amanda) Fister, Ben Fister, Olivia Fister, Michelle Liptak, Shannon Liptak, and Scott Liptak Jr. Survived by Great Grandchildren Alexis Johnson, Abby Johnson, Gavin Fister, Chace Fister, Megan Fister, Landon Comer, Jayden Liptak, JJ and Jaycee Turner, Cassie and Lily Kirby. Evva is survived by two brothers-in-law Paul Garner, Milton Rector and one sister-in-law Lola Matthews. She leaves many nieces, nephews, family and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank, sisters Elba (Murph) Wilhite, Etta (Fred) Rankin, Elsie (Ralph) Bertram, Charlene(Paul) Garner, Christine (Milton) Rector, brother Lyle (Lola) Matthews, and grandson Jason "JJ" Johnson.
Funeral Services will be held on December 2nd, 2017 at the Hickey and Son Funeral Home, 340 N. Main Street. Monticello, KY 42633. Visitation will start at 10 am followed by funeral services at 2 pm. Brothers Billbert Allison and Tom Nelson officiating.
Burial will be in Elk Springs Cemetery Monticello Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the name of Evva Liptak to Seasons Hospice, 8013 Majors Road, Cumming Ga 30041, the Monticello Museum or Wayne County Hospital where Evva loved to volunteer.
