Beulah Allene Neeley Pennington, 95, of Somerset, formerly of Madison County, died Thursday, December 7, 2017, at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset.
Born August 17, 1922 in Madison County, she was the daughter of Charlie Benjamin and Bessie Frances Peters Neeley, both of whom preceded her in death. Beulah was the widow of Lt. Col. Harry E. Pennington. She was a homemaker and enjoyed painting and knitting. Beulah was of the Baptist faith. When in good health she was an avid gardener and reader.
Survivors include one son, Harry A. Pennington of Somerset; one daughter, Judy Gail Grubbs, and husband, Jack, of John Day, Oregon; one brother, Bill Neeley, and wife Faye, of Hamilton Ohio; and several grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Lina Carol O'Connor and three sisters and five brothers.
Funeral service for Beulah Pennington will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Stanley Sears officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 AM until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
