Alan W. Mayfield, age 61, of Bronston, Kentucky passed from this life suddenly on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the Albert B. Chandler UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was born on April 12, 1956 in Marion County, Indiana to Sue Allen Mayfield and the late Willard Mayfield.
Alan was a Laborer in the Hendrickson Factory for a number of years, He was a member of the Woodstock Mason Society. He was an ordained Deacon and member of Harmony Fellowship Baptist Church where he was drummer for the praise and worship team. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family and was an inspiration to those he came in contact with. He will be sadly missed by those who loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife; Debra Bray Mayfield, Mother; Sue Mayfield, sons; Dusty Alan and his wife Jennifer Mayfield of Somerset and Dakota Dain Mayfield of Bronston, daughter; Misty Ann and her husband Brian Barnes of Barnesburg, brother; David Lee Mayfield of Ferguson, and sisters; Deborah and her husband Donnie Burdine, Teresa York all of Somerset and Karen and her husband David Eldridge of Mount Vernon and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Robert Delaney, Mathew Delaney, Dusty Mayfield, Dakota Mayfield, David Mayfield and Lindle Eldridge
Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Brother Adam Owens officiating.
Interment will be in the Chaney Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Harmony Fellowship Church in memory of Alan Mayfield.
Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Mr. Alan Mayfield.
